The Medicare Annual Election Period (AEP) for Medicare Advantage and Part D prescription drug coverage is from October 15th through December 7th every year. You may also disenroll from Medicare Advantage between January 1st and February 14th each year to return to original Medicare, which will trigger a special enrollment period where you can enroll in a stand-alone Part D prescription drug plan. You may also apply for a Medicare Supplement once you've disenrolled from an Advantage plan, which may require medical underwriting.
